Garmin LiveScope 2

Garmin LiveScope 2

New Product · Live Sonar

LiveScope 2 sees more, and shows it to you cleaner.

Garmin's next-generation live-scanning sonar lineup lands with sharper resolution, longer range, and an installation that finally drops the black box.

Since 2018, LiveScope has been the standard other forward-facing sonar systems get measured against. The LiveScope 2 Series doesn't reinvent that formula — it sharpens it. Three new transducers, each aimed at a different way anglers fish, all built around clearer images, better target separation, and a wiring harness with one less box to mount.

What's actually new

The headline number is resolution: LiveScope 2 delivers 20% more resolution across the board, with up to 50% more detail at closer ranges on the HD model. That comes paired with integrated image stabilization and reduced noise, so targets hold their shape as they move through the beam instead of smearing at the edges — the difference between guessing at a shape and knowing it's a fish.

Coverage is wider too. Forward, Down, and Perspective modes all get a wider sonar angle, and faster processing keeps latency low enough to time a hookset off what you're seeing in real time, not what you saw two seconds ago.

LiveScope revolutionized the way anglers approach the water. LiveScope 2 builds on that with clearer target separation, more detail, and a streamlined setup that eliminates the need for a black box. Susan Lyman — Garmin VP of Consumer Sales and Marketing

Simplified installation

This is the part installers will notice first: LiveScope 2 and LiveScope 2 HD transducers connect directly to a compatible Garmin MFD and power source. Built-in water sensor

Automatically shuts sonar off when the transducer is lifted out of the water.

Onboard temp sensor

Accurate water temperature readings without a separate sender.

Tool-free mounts

Trolling motor barrel mount and adjustable Perspective mode mount included.
