A retrofit kit that converts an existing Lewmar Pro-Series 700 or 1000 windlass into a Pro-Fish freefall windlass — adds automatic anchor drop without replacing the whole unit.

If you already own a Pro-Series windlass and want the Pro-Fish's signature automatic freefall — dropping anchor the instant you're over a wreck, ledge, or fishing spot — this kit gets you there without buying a new windlass outright.

Fitment Warning — Check Before Ordering
This kit only fits Pro-Series 700 and 1000 units manufactured from October 2006 onward, with a larger-diameter shaft and second compound gear. Only units with serial numbers starting in 561 or 571 are compatible. To verify fitment yourself: remove the gypsy nut and check for a drilled, threaded hole at the end of the shaft. If there's no hole, your unit cannot be retrofitted with this kit.
