Why It's Worth It
Getting fuse amperage right matters: too high and the circuit isn't properly protected if something goes wrong with the thruster motor; too low and you'll get nuisance trips under normal load. This 250A rating is Lewmar's specified fuse for the 3.0kW/12V thruster motor pairing — note that the equivalent 24V configuration (590007) uses a lower 130A fuse, since the same power draws less current at higher voltage.
