A classic, rugged deck hatch fitted to thousands of boats worldwide — Size 44 marks the step up to Lewmar's thicker 1/2" acrylic lens and taller profile, built for larger deck openings.

Why It's Worth It
At Size 44 and above, the Ocean Series moves to a thicker 1/2" acrylic lens and a taller 1-11/16" profile compared to the smaller sizes — more glazing thickness for a larger opening that sees proportionally more deck load. The 1" flange (spigot) keeps this version compatible with Lewmar's optional trim kits and roller shades, and it includes the internal/external lockable handles standard across the larger Ocean Series sizes.

Use
Installs on a flat surface with a maximum tolerance of ±1mm. Fastening at the hinge section uses M6 (1/4") hardware; the lower frame uses a 5mm CSK Screw No.10 UNC 2 BA. Rated for CE Area 2a use (deck, coach roof, cockpit, transom), tested to 2 psi. Mounting hardware not included.
