A heavier-duty deck hatch built for larger offshore yachts — thicker acrylic and deeper frame sections than the Low Profile line, for greater strength where it matters on a bigger boat.

Why It's Worth It
Utilizing thicker acrylic lenses and deeper frame sections than Lewmar's Low Profile hatches, the Medium Profile line trades a touch of slimness for meaningfully greater strength and durability — a sensible step up if this hatch is going on a foredeck taking real wave action. Locking handles with an exterior lever include a vent position, and self-supporting friction levers hold the lid open at any angle up to 95°. Lewmar's sealing system still makes the acrylic or gasket easy to replace down the line.

Use
Installs on a flat surface with a maximum tolerance of ±1mm. Fastening at the hinge section uses M6 (1/4") hardware; the lower frame uses a 5mm CSK Screw No.10 UNC 2 BA. Includes an outside handle, allowing it to be opened from deck if not locked.
