A compact, all-stainless vertical windlass built for power and sailboats, with a rope-chain gypsy and FastFit installation that keeps the setup to a one-person job — without the warping drum of the gypsy/drum version.

Why It's Worth It
This windlass conceals its drive train under a clean stainless deck unit. The FastFit motor gearbox attachment is the headline feature: it self-aligns the deck unit and motor/gearbox during installation, so you're not shimming and re-shimming to get a clean fit. A manual chain release (free-fall), cone clutch, and fall-safe anchor lock round out a system built for smooth, controlled anchoring, with an emergency manual recovery kit available separately for power-loss situations.

Use
Fits 3/8" ISO G4 high-test chain with 9/16" or 5/8" 3-strand, or 5/8" 8-plait line, through the 003 rope-chain gypsy.
