Lewmar Gen 2 Dual Thruster Control Pad (589222)

A Gen 2 dual-axis control pad that gives simultaneous control of both a bow and stern thruster from a single panel — or controls two thrusters independently, for full sideways maneuvering of the entire vessel.

Why It's Worth It
Running a bow and stern thruster from separate single panels means two hands on two controls, which makes precise parallel maneuvering difficult. The dual pad puts both thrusters on a single multi-axis function pad — push left and both thrusters move the boat sideways in unison, or use each axis independently for rotation control. The membrane switch panel is sealed against dust and moisture ingress, the multi-function LED indicator shows system deployment, thruster operation, low voltage, motor temperature warnings, and fault conditions in real time, and the snap-on bezel hides mounting screws for a clean installed finish. The removable cover adds extra security against accidental activation.

Upgrade Path
If replacing a previous-generation Lewmar touch panel, joystick panel, or dual joystick panel, the existing mounting hole and fixing screw positions can be reused — no new cutout required. For thrusters fitted with an older Black Box (rather than Blue Box), a controller adapter (589842) is required.

Use
Compatible with all Lewmar TT, RT, SRT, and VRT thrusters fitted with a Blue Box. Installs without rear access — snap-on bezel covers screws after installation. Connects to the thruster via Gen 2 AUX loom cables (589801–589805, sold separately). For a second control station, use a Y-connector (589800).
