Why It's Worth It
The 5-blade composite propeller delivers genuinely equal thrust whether you're pushing the bow left or right, which matters far more than it sounds — uneven thrust makes a boat handle differently depending on direction. The cassette shaft seal eliminates the need for a top-up reservoir most thrusters require, and the replaceable anode is secured with a large nut and a specially designed stainless steel sheath for optimal retention, easy to swap out in the water without hauling the boat. Hardened, ground spiral bevel gears keep power transmission quiet and efficient.

Use
This product includes the thruster unit, a 2-meter motor cable, and Blue Box ICU; a complete system still requires a control panel, control cable, fuse holder, and fuse, plus the thruster tunnel, sold separately. Connects to either a joystick or touch panel controller, with plug-together connections and a round back that fits standard instrument panel cutouts. Note: confirm voltage carefully when ordering — Lewmar offers this same 5.0kW power level in both 12V (590010LEW) and 24V (590011LEW) versions.
