Unlike a standard power-down windlass, the Pro-Fish drops anchor instantly via automatic freefall, triggered right at the helm rocker switch — critical for anglers who need to pin a spot the second they're over it, not seconds later. It's just as easy in reverse: retrieval is a push of a button. A revised control arm and Pro-Guard plate keep the rope from jumping out or snagging during operation, and the 316 stainless construction (including the control arm and chain stripper) holds up well to the corrosion that comes with frequent stern-mounted use.

Use
Fits 5/16" G4 chain with 9/16"-5/8" 3-strand or 8-plait rope (5/8" rope only with this gypsy). Suitable for boats roughly 27'-38'. Well suited to stern installation for Scandinavian-style anchoring, since the automatic free-fall means you don't need to be standing at the windlass to drop anchor. Manual recovery needs only a common 1/2" (12mm) socket wrench if power is lost. Minimum recommended deck thickness 1" (25mm); use a backing plate if thinner.
