A Micro/Mid powertap tee that injects 12V DC power into the NMEA 2000 network backbone via a 5-meter yellow pigtail — the right piece when your power source is up to 16' away from the optimal trunk injection point.

Why It's Worth It
Every NMEA 2000 network needs power injected at one point on the trunk, and the powertap tee is how you do it without interrupting the backbone. This version's 5-meter (16') yellow pigtail gives you meaningful reach from a convenient 12V fused supply to the network — useful when the nearest breaker panel isn't directly adjacent to the trunk. The yellow color is intentional: power cables should never be mistaken for gray network drop cables, and the color coding makes the distinction unmistakable. Two Female Micro-C ports continue the trunk on both sides, so the powertap installs inline just like a standard tee.

Use
Installs inline on the Micro or Mid trunk backbone. The left and right Female ports connect to the trunk cable on each side; the 5-meter yellow pigtail (bare wire ends) connects to a 12V DC fused supply. Always fuse the NMEA 2000 network power supply per NMEA 2000 standards — typically a 3A fuse for Micro networks. Place the powertap as centrally as possible on the trunk for best voltage distribution across all connected devices.
