A dedicated, fanless vessel monitoring computer with N2KView pre-installed — purpose-built for marine use, with no PC instability, no software conflicts, and no cooling fans to wear out or generate noise.

Why It's Worth It
A general-purpose PC running N2KView works, but it also runs everything else — background updates, antivirus scans, software conflicts — all of which can interrupt vessel monitoring at the wrong moment. The MBB300C runs only N2KView, making it exceptionally stable and single-minded about its job. The solid-state disk drive handles the constant vibration and shock of wave action without the failure modes of a spinning drive, and at less than 10 watts it dissipates heat passively through its aluminum chassis — no fans means no noise, no bearing wear, and no overheating from clogged ventilation. Both CAN bus ports are optically isolated, so a wiring fault on one NMEA 2000 network segment can't damage the computer or contaminate the other segment.

Use
Must be mounted in an indoor, protected location — not rated for exposure to weather or spray. Connects to a single VGA or HDMI monitor (not both simultaneously) and an optional touchscreen via USB or RS-232. Dual NMEA 2000 Micro-C connections let you monitor two completely isolated network segments simultaneously. Ethernet connects IP cameras for N2KView's video monitoring feature. All N2KView licenses are included — no per-feature unlock required. Up to 3.5 hours of battery backup is available (optional UPS accessory, sold separately).
