Maretron Pressure Transducer — 0 to 5,000 PSI, Absolute Type (PT-0-5000PSI-01)

The highest-range transducer in Maretron's FPM100 lineup — sized for very high-pressure hydraulic systems, watermakers, and other extreme-pressure marine applications, and the only absolute-type unit in the range.

Why It's Worth It
For maximum accuracy, always use the transducer with the smallest range sufficient for your application — only use this 5000 PSI unit when your system actually operates near this range. Unlike the lower-range gauge-type transducers, this unit is absolute-type, meaning it measures total pressure rather than pressure relative to atmosphere. There's no vent tube in the cable — a simpler installation with no vent tube to protect, but a different output reference to account for when configuring the FPM100. At this pressure range, a PT-SNUB-01 pressure snubber is essential to protect the transducer from hydraulic spikes and surges.

Use
Thread into any 1/4" NPT female fitting. Install torque 150 in-lbs (16.95 Nm) — note the slightly higher torque spec vs. lower-range units (133-177 in-lbs). Install a PT-SNUB-01 pressure snubber first when monitoring spike-prone systems, then thread the transducer into the snubber's outlet. Connect the white wire to the positive (+) terminal and the brown wire to the negative (-) terminal of a free FPM100 channel. Not approved for use with gasoline.
