Lewmar Pro-Series 1000H Horizontal Windlass Kit — Stainless Steel, 5/16" Chain (6657011108-102)

A compact, gypsy-only horizontal windlass that's a direct upgrade replacement for Lewmar's older Horizon 600/900 windlasses — same mounting holes, more pulling power, and a simpler permanent-magnet motor that makes installation lighter and easier than a traditional worm-gearbox unit.

Why It's Worth It
Instead of the series-wound motor and worm gearbox found in Lewmar's V-Series, the Pro-Series uses a smaller, more efficient permanent magnet motor through a spur gearbox — lower amp draw, smaller wire gauge needed, and a one-piece installation with no motor alignment or disassembly required. It defaults to power-down anchor lowering (with the option to switch to manual free-fall at the windlass), and the manual emergency recovery system needs nothing more than a common 1/2" socket wrench if you ever lose power.

Use
Fits 5/16" G4 chain with 9/16"-5/8" line. Designed for boats roughly 20'-40'. Mounts above-deck, horizontal configuration.
