ACR, líder mundial en dispositivos electrónicos de seguridad marítima, presenta una nueva radiobaliza de posicionamiento de emergencia (EPIRB) de alta tecnología. La nueva EPIRB ACR GlobalFix V6 utiliza conectividad satelital de 406 MHz para transmitir señales de emergencia al sistema global de rescate satelital Cospas Sarsat.
La tecnología Return Link Service (RLS) proporciona una confirmación visual al usuario de que se ha recibido su mensaje de socorro. Una señal de localización de 121,5 MHz ayuda a los rescatadores a encontrar la baliza activada cuando están en el lugar. Las luces estroboscópicas visibles e infrarrojas ayudan a identificar el objetivo por la noche o cuando la visibilidad es limitada, lo que acelera el rescate y la recuperación. Una nueva función llamada Near Field Communication (NFC) permite a los usuarios supervisar las funciones de su EPIRB mediante una aplicación para teléfonos inteligentes.
