A classic, rugged deck hatch fitted to thousands of boats worldwide — the first size in Lewmar's Ocean Series to add internal and external lockable handles for extra security.

Why It's Worth It
At Size 30 and above, the Ocean Series steps up with lockable handles inside and out — a real security upgrade over the smaller sizes, useful for hatches near the cockpit or anywhere you want more than a friction lever standing between the cabin and the outside world. Hinges are mounted outside the frame specifically to prevent leakage at the hinge point, and the whole hatch is tested to 2 psi under CE Area 2a certification.

Use
Installs on a flat surface with a maximum tolerance of ±1mm. Rated for CE Area 2a use (deck, coach roof, cockpit, transom), tested to 2 psi. Deck thickness 1" to 2-13/16" when paired with the optional trim kit (sold separately) — note the trim kit increases the cut-out dimension. Minimum hull thickness 25mm, maximum 72mm.
