Lewmar Anchor Safety Strap — 12", 4mm Cable, 8mm Carabiner Clip (66840028)

A PVC-coated stainless cable strap that clips onto the chain, shackle, or anchor to stop it from deploying accidentally — whether from a bump, a power glitch, or an unintended release.

Why It Matters
An anchor can come free unexpectedly — a knocked switch, a power blip, a slack chain stopper — and a loose anchor swinging or dropping at the bow is a real hazard to the boat and anyone nearby. This strap is a simple, cheap line of defense against exactly that: clip it on, and the anchor can't deploy even if something else fails.

Important Distinction
This strap is not a substitute for proper anchor stowage in the bow roller — it prevents the anchor from deploying, but does not hold it tightly in place within the roller itself. Lewmar recommends securing the anchor to the boat separately when not in use, since the windlass alone isn't designed to hold the anchor to the boat.
