Lewmar H2 Horizontal Windlass, Gypsy-Only, 8mm (69600533)

A gypsy-only H-Series horizontal windlass, sized for 5/16" chain and built for one-piece installation on boats up to 48' — without the warping drum of the gypsy/drum version.

Use
Sized for 5/16" G4 or BBB chain paired with 9/16"-5/8" rope, this windlass handles both chain and rope rode through a single gypsy. The integral contactor is built into the deck unit rather than wired separately, which protects it and saves installation time. Full power dual-direction functionality works right out of the box, with one-piece, above-deck installation.

To confirm sizing, Lewmar recommends adding the weight of your chain and anchor together, multiplying by 4, and checking that figure against the windlass's max pull — if your number comes close to or exceeds 1,433 lbs, step up to the H3.
