Maretron MPower CLMD12 12-Channel DC Load Controller Module — Module Only

A compact 12-channel solid-state digital power distribution module for vessels with smaller loads — network-controlled switching, PWM dimming, per-channel current monitoring, and 7 switch inputs in a smaller, lower-current footprint than the CLMD16.

Why It's Worth It
Everything the CLMD16 does for larger vessels, the CLMD12 does for smaller ones — solid-state ECBs that reset electronically, per-channel current monitoring that detects burnt-out bulbs and overcurrent conditions, PWM dimming for DC lighting, and full NMEA 2000 control from any compatible display or N2KView device. Each breaker's trip current is individually configurable in software, so you're not locked into the hardware-maximum ratings — if a circuit only needs 3A protection, set it to 3A. An optional CBMD12 bypass module (sold separately) provides a manual override path for each circuit if the network fails or the CLMD12 itself malfunctions — a meaningful reliability safety net for critical loads.

CLMD12 vs. CLMD16
The CLMD12 is the right choice for smaller vessels or zones with lower current demands: 75A total vs. 125A on the CLMD16, max 12A per channel (vs. 25A on the CLMD16's high-current channels), and a more compact footprint. It doesn't have H-bridge reversing circuits or tank level inputs, but otherwise delivers the same NMEA 2000 integration and digital switching capability. Like the CLMD16, the base CLMD12 is module-only — the CLMD12-R bundles the J1 and J2 connector kits.
