Why It's Worth It
Ten position fixes per second means your chart plotter, autopilot, and vessel monitoring system always have the freshest possible data — not a 1-second-old position that's already stale at speed. Simultaneous GPS and GLONASS tracking (99 acquisition channels, 33 tracking channels) gives the receiver far more satellites to work with than GPS-only units, which translates to better accuracy in challenging environments near tall structures, docks, or marina breakwaters. SBAS decoding (WAAS in North America, EGNOS in Europe, MSAS in Asia, GAGAN in India) pushes position accuracy below 2.5m without any extra configuration.

The sensitivity spec (-161 dBm tracking) is what lets you mount it under a fiberglass deck rather than forcing an above-deck antenna run — genuinely useful on boats where a clean deck installation would require routing cable through difficult spaces. A lithium backup battery holds position for 4-5 days after power-down, enabling 1-second hot starts the next time you power up.

Use
Connects to any NMEA 2000 network via a standard Micro-C drop cable (sold separately). Mounts on a standard 1"-14 TPI marine pole mount or directly to a flat deck surface (horizontal template included). Mount level with a clear view of the sky in all directions — avoid locations blocked by masts or other antennas. Can also be mounted under a fiberglass deck thanks to its high sensitivity rating. Configure via Maretron DSM display or N2KAnalyzer software to adjust PGN output rates if needed.
