Why It's Worth It
Every NMEA 2000 network needs two termination resistors — one at each end of the trunk — to prevent signal reflections that cause data errors and unreliable instrument readings. Standard tee-mounted terminators work well on most trunks, but when a device sits at the end of the network in a tight location (the top of a mast, inside an instrument pod, within a mounting pipe), there's often no room for a separate tee. The IT-CM-CF solves that: it plugs directly into the device's Micro-C female port, and the network cable connects to the other end via a screw terminal for a secure, waterproof termination point with no tee required.

Use
Install one at each end of the NMEA 2000 trunk — exactly two per network, no more, no less. The female end (CF) connects to the device's Micro male port; the male end (CM) connects to the network trunk cable via screw terminals. Polarity note: normally a male terminator is used where the male pins point back toward the power source; this inline version's gender reversal is specifically for situations where the standard orientation doesn't work — confirm gender against your specific installation before ordering. Note: this product has been updated from blue to black housing.
