Maretron NF-NM4P-NF Mini Powertap with Fuses

A power injection tee for Mini-format NMEA 2000 networks — injects 12V DC power onto the bus while continuing the trunk in both directions, with built-in fuses, LED diagnostics, and dual isolated power inputs for redundancy.

Why It's Worth It
This isn't just a tee with a power wire — it's a properly engineered power injection point. Schottky diodes isolate each of the two power supply inputs from the other, so if one power source fails or has a fault, it can't back-feed or drag down the other. Two replaceable 8A fuses protect the bus from overcurrent on each side independently. An LED status indicator confirms power presence and correct polarity at a glance, which saves time troubleshooting a dark network where you're not sure if the problem is the devices or the power. Placing the powertap as centrally as possible on the trunk minimizes voltage drop across the full length of the network — critical on longer runs with many high-LEN devices.

Use
Connects to the Mini trunk line via two Mini Female (Micro-C) bus ports, with the power connection made via the included yellow pigtail cable (NM4P01, sold separately) into the 4-pin bottom connector. Fuses are replaceable in the field. Mount in a dry, accessible location for fuse inspection and replacement. Install centrally between the two trunk terminators for best voltage distribution.
