Maretron RKF-001 Remote Key Fob

A secure, standalone wireless remote control for general vessel use — trigger up to four outputs from up to 60 meters away, with no NMEA 2000 network required.

Why It's Worth It
Unlike Maretron's NMEA 2000-based controls, the RKF-001 is a self-contained FM remote control system that works independently of any network. The KeeLoq code-hopping protocol generates a new encrypted code with every button press, so it can't be cloned or spoofed by replay attacks — the same security protocol used in automotive keyless entry systems. Up to seven transmitters can be paired to a single receiver, and outputs can be configured for momentary or latching operation depending on the application. The transmitter is IP68 rated — it'll survive being dropped in the water.

Use
The receiver connects to your boat's wiring via standard screw terminals and runs on 12 or 24V DC. Relay outputs can switch up to 5A at 230V AC — enough to directly control lights, horns, bilge pumps, or other moderate-current devices. Comes ready to use out of the box; additional transmitters can be added to the system with the Easy Learn pairing function. Available in 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-button transmitter versions.
